Abstract: This research examines the role of early childhood education (ECE) in fostering cultural awareness and appreciation among Nigerian children. The objective is to explore how ECE programs integrate cultural diversity, heritage education, and global perspectives to promote inclusive learning environments and cross-cultural understanding. A survey research design is utilized to gather insights from ECE educators, cultural experts, and community leaders across Ekiti State. A purposive sample of 200 participants is selected based on their involvement in multicultural education and curriculum development. Findings indicate that culturally responsive teaching practices, exposure to diverse traditions, and inclusive learning materials in ECE settings enhance children's cultural competence, empathy, and respect for cultural differences. Recommendations emphasize curriculum reforms that incorporate local cultures, professional development for culturally competent teaching practices, and community partnerships to celebrate diversity and promote cultural awareness in early childhood education.
