Abstract: This research investigates the preventive role of early childhood education (ECE) in mitigating behavioral issues among Nigerian children. The objective is to analyze how structured ECE environments promote positive behavior management, social-emotional learning, and conflict resolution skills during early development stages. A survey research design is utilized to gather insights from ECE educators, psychologists, and behavioral specialists. A purposive sample of 200 participants from Anambra State is selected based on their expertise in child behavior and educational psychology. Findings reveal that proactive behavioral interventions, inclusive classroom practices, and supportive teacher-child relationships significantly reduce behavioral challenges and promote pro-social behaviors in young learners. Recommendations emphasize professional development in behavior management, trauma-informed practices, and collaborative partnerships between ECE providers and mental health professionals to foster a supportive environment for children's behavioral health.
