Abstract: This research explores the critical link between early childhood education (ECE) and language development outcomes among Nigerian children. The objective is to analyze how ECE programs contribute to language acquisition, literacy skills, and bilingualism in diverse linguistic contexts. A survey research design is employed to gather data from ECE educators and language specialists across Kano State. A purposive sample of 200 participants is selected based on their expertise in language instruction and curriculum development. Findings indicate that immersive language environments, culturally responsive teaching practices, and early literacy interventions significantly enhance language proficiency and cognitive abilities among young learners. Recommendations advocate for multilingual ECE policies, professional development for language educators, and community partnerships to support language-rich environments in early childhood settings.
