Abstract: This study explores the concept of scaffolding in early childhood education (ECE) and its impact on learning outcomes. The objective is to examine how scaffolding techniques, such as guided instruction and cognitive support, facilitate skill development and problem-solving abilities in young children. A survey research design is justified to gather data from 200 educators and parents in Bayelsa State, using purposive sampling to include diverse educational backgrounds and teaching experiences. Findings reveal that effective scaffolding practices enhance children's learning autonomy, confidence, and mastery of new skills, promoting academic readiness and cognitive growth. Recommendations emphasize training for educators in scaffolding strategies, collaborative planning with families, and integrating scaffolded learning opportunities into ECE curricula to support optimal developmental outcomes.
