Abstract: This research explores the levels of cultural competence among early childhood educators and its impact on educational outcomes for culturally diverse children. The objective is to assess educators' knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to cultural diversity in ECE settings. A survey research design is employed to gather data from 150 ECE educators in Rivers State, selected through purposive sampling to represent various educational backgrounds and teaching experiences. Findings indicate that higher levels of cultural competence among educators positively influence children's self-esteem, academic engagement, and cultural identity development. Recommendations include integrating culturally responsive teaching strategies, promoting diversity training for educators, and fostering inclusive classroom environments to support the diverse needs of young learners.
