Abstract: This study investigates effective strategies for enhancing language development in early childhood education settings across Ogun State, Nigeria. The objective is to identify and evaluate the most successful methodologies and interventions employed by educators to facilitate language acquisition among preschool-aged children. A survey research design is chosen to gather comprehensive data on diverse strategies used in various early childhood education institutions. A sample size of 250 early childhood educators and parents will be purposively selected from different nursery schools and communities in Ogun State. Purposive sampling ensures representation of educators and parents actively engaged in fostering language development. The case study approach will focus on specific educational institutions recognized for exemplary language development outcomes. Findings indicate that interactive and play-based learning approaches significantly contribute to language acquisition in early childhood. Recommendations stress the importance of integrating interactive and multilingual activities into early childhood education curricula to optimize language development outcomes for preschoolers in diverse linguistic contexts.
