Abstract: This study explores the integration of sustainability education into early childhood education (ECE) programs in Nigeria, focusing on its impact on children's environmental awareness, attitudes, and behaviors. Objectives include assessing current practices in sustainability education, examining pedagogical approaches and curriculum content, and evaluating outcomes on children's understanding of environmental responsibility. Utilizing a survey research design, data will be collected from ECE educators, environmental experts, and parents in Delta State. The sample size of 176, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, ensures robust representation and statistical validity. A case study approach will focus on ECE centers known for their sustainability initiatives. The reliability coefficient score of 0.78 ensure data reliability. Findings demonstrated the positive impact of sustainability education in ECE, providing insights into effective strategies for integrating environmental themes into the curriculum. Recommendations emphasized curriculum development, teacher training, and community partnerships to foster environmental stewardship from an early age in Nigerian educational contexts.
