Abstract: This research examines the impact of nutrition and healthy eating habits on early childhood learning outcomes, focusing on nutritional interventions and dietary practices in Kwara State, Nigeria. The objective is to investigate how balanced diets, meal routines, and nutrition education influence cognitive development, academic performance, and overall well-being among preschool-aged children. Using a mixed-methods research design, quantitative data is collected through dietary assessments, parent surveys, and child health records. Qualitative insights are gathered through focus groups with educators and nutrition experts. Taro Yamane's formula guides the determination of a sample size that represents diverse socio-economic backgrounds. A case study approach examines nutritional programs implemented in local preschools to assess their effectiveness. Findings indicate that healthy eating habits contribute to improved concentration, behavior, and learning readiness in early childhood. Recommendations emphasize integrating nutrition education into early childhood curricula, promoting access to nutritious meals, and engaging families in fostering healthy eating habits to support optimal learning and development.
