Abstract: This research investigates the role of educational leadership in shaping early childhood programs, focusing on leadership practices that promote quality standards, professional development, and community engagement in Imo State, Nigeria. The objective is to examine how effective leadership influences curriculum innovation, teacher effectiveness, and overall program quality in preschool settings. Using a mixed-methods research design, quantitative data is collected through surveys from educators and qualitative insights are gathered through interviews with educational leaders and community stakeholders. Taro Yamane's formula guides the determination of a representative sample size. A case study approach explores leadership practices in a preschool recognized for its exemplary educational outcomes. Findings highlight that strong educational leadership fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability in early childhood education. Recommendations emphasize leadership training for administrators, fostering supportive work environments, and leveraging community partnerships to enhance program sustainability and effectiveness.
