Abstract: This study examines the impact of early childhood education (ECE) on later academic success, focusing on educational attainment and socio-economic outcomes among graduates in Lagos State, Nigeria. The objective is to investigate the long-term benefits of quality ECE programs on academic achievement and career prospects. Employing a longitudinal research design, quantitative data is collected from alumni surveys and educational records of graduates from diverse early childhood programs. A systematic sampling method ensures a balanced representation of alumni across different socio-economic backgrounds. A retrospective case study analyzes academic performance trends, career trajectories, and socio-economic indicators among ECE graduates. Findings reveal that quality early childhood education correlates positively with higher academic achievement, improved socio-economic status, and greater career opportunities in adulthood. Recommendations emphasize expanding access to quality ECE programs, advocating for policy support, and enhancing collaboration between early childhood providers and primary education sectors to sustain long-term educational benefits.
