Abstract: This research explores the challenges and strategies of early childhood education in multilingual settings, focusing on language acquisition and cultural integration in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The objective is to investigate effective approaches for supporting linguistic diversity and promoting bilingualism among young learners. Using a mixed-methods research design, quantitative data is collected through surveys from 200 educators and qualitative insights are gathered through interviews with bilingual families and language experts. Taro Yamane's formula guides the determination of a sample size that reflects diverse linguistic backgrounds. A case study approach examines a bilingual preschool to illustrate best practices in language immersion and cultural sensitivity. The reliability coefficient score ensures data reliability across survey responses. Findings highlight that multilingual education enhances cognitive flexibility, cultural competence, and academic achievement in early childhood. Recommendations emphasize developing bilingual resources, training educators in language support strategies, and fostering inclusive environments that celebrate linguistic diversity.
