Abstract: This research investigates strategies for enhancing early childhood literacy development to establish a robust educational foundation. The study aims to identify effective practices that promote language acquisition and literacy skills among preschool-aged children in Ogun State, Nigeria. Employing a survey research design, data is collected from 250 educators and literacy specialists. The sample size is determined using Taro Yamane's formula to ensure statistical validity. A prominent local nursery school serves as a case study to exemplify successful literacy development initiatives. The reliability coefficient score ensures the consistency of survey responses. Findings reveal that early exposure to reading, interactive storytelling, and phonemic awareness activities significantly enhances literacy proficiency in young learners. Recommendations emphasize the adoption of culturally relevant literature, parental involvement in reading routines, and professional development for educators to sustain literacy enrichment programs effectively.
