Background of the Study:

Mobile banking solutions have become critical in enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of business banking services. Fidelity Bank Nigeria in Lagos has leveraged mobile technologies to provide seamless access to banking products, enabling businesses to perform transactions, monitor accounts, and manage cash flow on-the-go. The adoption of mobile banking enhances operational efficiency by reducing transaction times, minimizing errors, and enabling real-time financial monitoring (Ibrahim, 2024). These innovations have proven particularly valuable for corporate clients who require immediate and reliable banking services to support dynamic business operations. However, while mobile banking offers numerous benefits, challenges such as system security, digital literacy among business users, and integration with existing corporate banking platforms remain. This study evaluates the impact of mobile banking solutions on the performance of business banking services at Fidelity Bank, examining improvements in service speed, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency. The research utilizes performance data, customer surveys, and case studies from 2023 to 2025 to provide a comprehensive analysis of mobile banking’s role in enhancing business banking outcomes (Okafor, 2023).

Statement of the Problem:

Despite significant investments in mobile banking technology, Fidelity Bank faces challenges in optimizing its mobile solutions for business banking. Issues such as cybersecurity concerns, technical glitches, and varying levels of digital literacy among corporate clients can hinder service delivery and affect performance. These challenges limit the full realization of mobile banking’s potential in improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Objectives of the Study:

• To evaluate the impact of mobile banking solutions on business banking performance at Fidelity Bank.

• To identify technical and user-related challenges affecting mobile banking effectiveness.

• To recommend strategies for enhancing mobile banking services for corporate clients.

Research Questions:

• How do mobile banking solutions influence business banking performance at Fidelity Bank?

• What challenges affect the adoption and performance of mobile banking among corporate clients?

• What measures can improve mobile banking efficiency and customer satisfaction?

Research Hypotheses:

• H₁: Mobile banking solutions significantly enhance business banking efficiency.

• H₂: Technical issues and cybersecurity concerns negatively impact mobile banking performance.

• H₃: Enhanced user support and system upgrades improve mobile banking outcomes.

Scope and Limitations of the Study:

The study focuses on Fidelity Bank’s mobile banking services for business customers in Lagos, using survey data, performance metrics, and case studies. Limitations include potential variability in digital literacy and external cybersecurity threats.
