Abstract: The role of fiduciary accountants in conflict resolution is pivotal in maintaining organizational harmony and financial integrity. This study aims to (1) investigate the mechanisms through which fiduciary accountants facilitate conflict resolution, (2) assess the effectiveness of fiduciary accountants in mediating financial disputes, and (3) identify best practices for fiduciary accountants in conflict resolution scenarios. Utilizing a survey research design, this study justifies its approach by aiming to gather comprehensive, quantifiable data directly from fiduciary accountants engaged in conflict resolution. A sample size of 200 participants was determined using Taro Yamane’s formula, ensuring a representative subset of the population with a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The case study selected for in-depth analysis is a major multinational corporation headquartered in Lagos, which frequently deals with complex financial conflicts. The reliability coefficient score for the survey instrument was 0.87, indicating high internal consistency. The findings reveal that fiduciary accountants play a crucial role in identifying underlying financial issues, facilitating transparent communication, and implementing fair resolutions. The study recommends that organizations invest in continuous training for fiduciary accountants in conflict resolution skills and adopt a proactive approach in financial dispute management to prevent escalation.
