ABSTRACT
Guidance and counseling is an integral part of an ideal educational system. The New Encyclopaedia Britannica defined counselling as the process of helping an individual discover and develop his educational, vocational and psychological potentialities and thereby achieve an optimal level of personal happiness and social usefulness. The main objective of the study is to determine the factors that affect marketing of guidance and counseling services in secondary schools in Nigeria, a case study of Oredo Local Government Area.
In this study, A total of 120 respondents were purposively selected by the researcher consisting of teachers and students. It was concluded that guidance and counselling programme in secondary schools in Oredo Local Government provides a number of services, which help in students' growth and adjustment.
