ABSTRACT: Exploring the use of smart technology in vocational education for electrical trades is essential for modernizing training methods and preparing students for future challenges. The study's objectives were to: (1) investigate the integration of smart technologies into vocational training programs for electrical trades, (2) assess the impact of these technologies on students' learning outcomes, and (3) identify barriers to the adoption of smart technology in vocational education. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from educators, students, and industry professionals. The sample size included 150 respondents selected via purposive sampling from Anambra State. The case study focused on a vocational institute specializing in electrical training. Findings indicated that smart technologies significantly enhanced learning outcomes by providing real-time feedback and facilitating complex electrical tasks, although there were challenges related to access to technology and training for educators. Recommendations highlighted the need for investing in smart technology infrastructure, training for educators, and ongoing research to optimize smart technology applications in vocational education.
