ENHANCING VOCATIONAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE USE OF CLOUD-BASED LEARNING TOOLS

ABSTRACT: Enhancing vocational education through the use of cloud-based learning tools represents a transformative approach to modernizing education. The study aimed to: (1) investigate the integration of cloud-based tools in vocational education, (2) assess the impact of these tools on learning outcomes and student engagement, and (3) identify barriers to the widespread adoption of cloud-based learning in vocational settings. A survey research design was adopted to collect data from students, educators, and IT professionals. The sample size consisted of 170 respondents selected through purposive sampling from Ogun State. The case study focused on a vocational school known for its adoption of digital technologies. Findings indicated that cloud-based learning tools significantly enhanced collaboration, access to resources, and flexibility in learning, although challenges related to internet connectivity and digital literacy were reported. Recommendations included improving internet infrastructure, providing training for both students and educators, and developing strategies to overcome digital divide issues.
