ABSTRACT: The role of vocational education in promoting sustainable resource management is critical for developing a workforce equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage resources sustainably. The objectives of this study were to: (1) examine the extent to which vocational education programs incorporate sustainable resource management principles, (2) assess the effectiveness of these programs in preparing students for sustainable practices, and (3) identify areas for improvement. A survey research design was adopted to gather data from educators, students, and industry professionals. The sample size consisted of 140 respondents selected through purposive sampling from Edo State. The case study focused on a vocational school known for its environmental programs. Findings revealed that while there was a strong emphasis on sustainable practices, there was a need for more hands-on training and real-world application of sustainable resource management. Recommendations included enhancing practical training components, fostering industry partnerships for real-world experience, and continuously updating curricula to reflect the latest sustainable practices and technologies.
