ABSTRACT: A critical examination of the development of vocational education curricula for careers in green engineering is essential for preparing a workforce capable of addressing environmental challenges. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the existing vocational education curricula for green engineering, (2) determine the extent to which these curricula incorporate sustainable practices, and (3) propose enhancements to better align with green engineering career requirements. A survey research design was employed to collect data from curriculum developers, educators, and industry experts. The sample size included 120 participants selected using purposive sampling from Ogun State. The case study examined a technical college renowned for its engineering programs. Findings indicated that while basic sustainable practices were included in the curricula, there was a lack of comprehensive green engineering principles. Recommendations emphasized the need for integrating advanced sustainable technologies and practices, as well as ongoing curriculum updates to keep pace with industry advancements.
