ABSTRACT: The impact of blockchain technology on vocational education verification systems is significant for enhancing the transparency and reliability of educational credentials. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of blockchain-based verification systems, identify key benefits for vocational education, and assess the readiness of institutions to adopt this technology. A survey design was utilized to gather data from administrators, educators, and students involved in vocational training programs. The sample size included 150 respondents from various technical institutions. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with a background in educational administration and technology. The case study was conducted at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that blockchain technology significantly improved the transparency and security of credential verification, reduced instances of fraudulent certifications, and increased stakeholder trust in vocational education systems. Respondents expressed high levels of confidence in the blockchain-based system, highlighting its potential for broader application. It was recommended that vocational training institutions and accrediting bodies adopt blockchain technology to enhance the integrity and efficiency of credential verification processes.
