ABSTRACT: Innovations in vocational education for careers in advanced manufacturing are essential for preparing students to meet the demands of the modern manufacturing industry. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative training programs in advanced manufacturing, identify key competencies developed through these programs, and assess student readiness for advanced manufacturing roles. A survey design was employed to gather data from students enrolled in vocational training programs specializing in advanced manufacturing. The sample size included 300 students from technical institutions across various disciplines. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with a background in manufacturing education. The case study was conducted at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that innovative vocational education programs significantly improved students' technical skills, enhanced their ability to utilize advanced manufacturing technologies, and increased their readiness for industry roles. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the training, highlighting its practical applications and real-world relevance. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their advanced manufacturing curricula and continuously update training programs to include the latest technological advancements and industry needs.
