ABSTRACT: Enhancing vocational education through the use of simulation-based training is essential for providing students with immersive and practical learning experiences. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of simulation-based training, identify critical skills developed through these programs, and assess student satisfaction with this innovative approach. A survey design was utilized to gather comprehensive data from students participating in simulation-based vocational training programs. The sample size comprised 250 students from various technical institutions across different disciplines. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with prior exposure to basic simulation technologies. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that simulation-based training significantly improved students' practical skills, provided realistic scenarios for problem-solving, and enhanced their overall learning experience. Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with simulation-based training, highlighting its interactive and engaging nature. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand the use of simulation technologies and continuously update training content to include the latest industry practices and standards.
