ABSTRACT: Innovations in vocational training for careers in sustainable energy management are essential for addressing the global demand for clean energy solutions. This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of new training methodologies in sustainable energy management, identify critical skills developed through these programs, and evaluate student satisfaction with innovative training approaches. A survey design was utilized to gather detailed data from participants enrolled in sustainable energy vocational programs. The sample size included 250 students from various technical institutions specializing in renewable energy and environmental science. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with a foundational knowledge of energy systems. The case study was conducted at the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that innovative training methods significantly enhanced students' technical skills in sustainable energy management, improved their understanding of renewable energy technologies, and increased their readiness for clean energy careers. Students reported high satisfaction levels with the training programs, highlighting the practical applications and relevance of the curriculum. It was recommended that vocational training institutions continuously update their sustainable energy curricula and incorporate emerging technologies to ensure students are well-prepared for industry demands.
