ABSTRACT: The impact of wearable tech on vocational training in healthcare has the potential to revolutionize how healthcare professionals are trained. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating wearable technology into healthcare training, identify specific skills and competencies enhanced by wearable tech, and assess student satisfaction with these innovative training methods. A survey design was utilized to gather comprehensive data from students participating in healthcare vocational programs incorporating wearable technology. The sample size comprised 200 students from various technical institutions specializing in healthcare and medical technology. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with a background in healthcare education. The case study was conducted at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that wearable technology significantly improved students' practical skills, provided real-time feedback during training, and enhanced their understanding of patient monitoring and care. Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with the wearable tech training, noting its practical applications and real-world relevance. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their use of wearable technology in healthcare programs and provide continuous professional development for educators to ensure effective implementation and up-to-date knowledge transfer.
