ABSTRACT: The role of vocational training in supporting the marine industry is pivotal in ensuring a skilled workforce capable of advancing maritime operations and technologies. This study aimed to evaluate how vocational training programs contribute to the marine industry, identify the specific skills and competencies developed, and measure student satisfaction with the training. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from participants. The sample size included 200 students enrolled in marine vocational programs. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with relevant experience in marine education. The case study was conducted at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Findings showed that vocational training significantly enhanced students' technical skills in marine operations, improved their understanding of maritime safety practices, and increased their employability in the marine sector. Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with the curriculum, noting its relevance and practical applications. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their focus on marine industry practices and provide ongoing professional development for instructors to stay updated on the latest maritime trends.
