ABSTRACT: Innovations in vocational education for autonomous vehicle technology are crucial for preparing students to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving automotive industry. This study aimed to identify effective innovations in vocational training that enhance career readiness in autonomous vehicle technology, assess the impact of these innovations on student skills, and evaluate overall student satisfaction with the educational programs. A survey design was selected to gather extensive data from participants involved in autonomous vehicle vocational training. The sample size included 150 students from various vocational training institutes. Purposive sampling ensured that participants had relevant experience with autonomous vehicle education. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that innovative training methods, such as virtual simulations, project-based learning, and industry collaborations, significantly improved students' technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the curriculum, noting the relevance and applicability to real-world autonomous vehicle challenges. It was recommended that vocational training institutions continuously integrate cutting-edge technologies and foster partnerships with the automotive industry to keep pace with advancements in the field.
