ABSTRACT: The integration of biotechnology education in vocational training is essential for preparing students for careers in the rapidly evolving biotech industry. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of biotechnology education in vocational training, identify the specific skills and competencies developed, and assess student satisfaction with the curriculum. A survey design was chosen to gather detailed insights from participants. The sample size included 180 students enrolled in biotechnology-focused vocational programs. Purposive sampling ensured the selection of students with relevant experience in biotechnology education. The case study was conducted at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that biotechnology education significantly enhanced students' technical skills, critical thinking abilities, and understanding of biotechnological applications. Students expressed high satisfaction with the curriculum, highlighting its relevance and the hands-on learning opportunities. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their biotechnology programs and continuously update curricula to incorporate the latest advancements and industry needs.
