ABSTRACT: The role of vocational training in supporting the electric vehicle industry is crucial for developing the necessary workforce to advance this burgeoning sector. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of vocational training on the electric vehicle industry, identify the specific skills and competencies developed through this training, and assess student satisfaction with electric vehicle-focused curricula. A survey design was chosen to collect comprehensive data from students enrolled in relevant vocational programs. The sample size included 220 students from institutions offering electric vehicle training. Purposive sampling ensured that participants had relevant experience with electric vehicle education. The case study was conducted at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that vocational training significantly enhanced students' technical skills in electric vehicle maintenance and repair, increased their understanding of electric vehicle technology, and boosted their readiness for employment in the industry. Students expressed high satisfaction with the training, highlighting the practical and industry-relevant content. It was recommended that vocational training programs expand their electric vehicle curricula and establish partnerships with industry stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and job placement opportunities.
