ABSTRACT: Strategies for Promoting Lifelong Learning Habits Among Vocational Students examines approaches to instill a culture of continuous learning and skill development among vocational learners throughout their careers. This study investigates effective strategies and interventions that encourage vocational students to engage in lifelong learning practices beyond formal education. The objectives were: to identify barriers to lifelong learning among vocational students, to analyze the benefits of lifelong learning habits for career advancement and adaptability, and to propose actionable strategies for promoting lifelong learning in vocational education. A survey research design was employed to collect data from vocational students, educators, and industry professionals, providing insights into perceptions and experiences related to lifelong learning in vocational settings. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected purposively to include participants from technical colleges and vocational training centers in Edo State, Nigeria, known for their commitment to lifelong learning initiatives. The case study focused on successful vocational graduates who continued to pursue further education and skills development, illustrating the impact of lifelong learning on career progression. Findings indicated that fostering a mindset of continuous learning improved job prospects, promoted career resilience, and facilitated adaptation to technological advancements in vocational sectors. It is recommended that vocational institutions should integrate lifelong learning modules into curricula, provide accessible and flexible learning opportunities, offer mentoring and career counseling services, and collaborate with employers to support ongoing professional development among vocational students.
