ABSTRACT: Innovations in Digital Assessment Tools for Vocational Competencies investigates advancements in technology-driven assessment methods to evaluate and certify vocational skills effectively. This study examines how digital tools such as simulations, online portfolios, and performance analytics enhance the assessment of practical competencies in vocational education. The objectives were: to explore innovative digital assessment tools used in vocational programs, to assess the reliability and validity of digital assessments compared to traditional methods, and to propose strategies for integrating digital assessment tools into vocational curricula. A survey research design was employed to collect data from vocational educators, assessment experts, and technology providers, offering insights into current practices and emerging trends. A sample size of 250 respondents was purposively selected to include stakeholders with expertise in educational technology and vocational assessment. The case study focused on the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos State. Findings indicated that digital assessment tools improved efficiency, feedback delivery, and scalability in evaluating vocational competencies. It is recommended that vocational institutions should invest in robust technology infrastructure, provide training for educators on digital assessment techniques, ensure data security and privacy compliance, and continuously innovate digital tools to enhance assessment accuracy and relevance in vocational education.
