ABSTRACT: Addressing Equity and Inclusion in Vocational Education Access explores strategies to promote equitable access and inclusion in vocational education, particularly for marginalized groups. This study examines barriers to access such as socio-economic status, gender, disability, and geographic location, and explores interventions to ensure equitable opportunities for all learners. The objectives were: to identify barriers to equitable access in vocational education in Nigeria, to assess current policies and practices for promoting inclusion, and to propose recommendations for improving access and participation among marginalized groups. A survey design was employed to collect data from vocational educators, policymakers, and advocacy groups, providing insights into challenges and best practices. A sample size of 250 respondents was chosen using a purposive sampling technique to include participants representing diverse demographics and regions across Nigeria. The case study focused on the Federal Science and Technical College, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Findings indicated significant disparities in access to vocational education, with marginalized groups facing systemic barriers and limited support. It is recommended that vocational institutions should implement affirmative action policies, provide financial assistance and scholarships, improve infrastructure for accessibility, and offer targeted support services to ensure equitable access and success for all learners.
