ABSTRACT: Strategies for Promoting Digital Citizenship in Vocational Training examines approaches to fostering responsible and ethical use of digital technologies among vocational students. This study investigates strategies and educational interventions that promote digital literacy, online safety, and ethical behavior in vocational education settings. The objectives were: to assess current practices and challenges in promoting digital citizenship among vocational students, to explore effective pedagogical approaches for integrating digital citizenship education into vocational curricula, and to propose recommendations for enhancing digital citizenship skills in vocational training. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from vocational educators, students, and technology experts, providing insights into current practices and areas for improvement. A sample size of 250 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants with experience in digital citizenship initiatives in vocational education. The case study focused on the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State. Findings indicated varying levels of digital literacy and awareness among students, with gaps in understanding digital rights, privacy issues, and cybersecurity threats. It is recommended that vocational institutions should integrate digital citizenship modules into existing curricula, provide training for educators on digital ethics and safety practices, and promote collaborative learning environments that encourage responsible digital behavior among students to prepare them for responsible citizenship in the digital age.
