ABSTRACT: Innovations in Promoting Employability Skills through Vocational Education examines innovative approaches to enhancing students' employability skills within vocational training programs. This study aims to identify effective strategies and practices that prepare students for successful transitions into the workforce. The objectives were: to evaluate current methods of promoting employability skills in vocational education, to assess the impact of innovative programs on students' job readiness and career advancement, and to propose recommendations for optimizing employability skills development. A survey design was chosen to gather detailed data from vocational educators, employers, and alumni, providing insights into effective employability skill-building practices. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants with experience in employability skills training and vocational education. The case study focused on the Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Findings indicated that innovative approaches such as internships, skills workshops, and industry partnerships significantly improved students' employability skills and job placement rates. It was recommended that vocational institutions should expand internship opportunities, integrate soft skills training into curricula, and strengthen collaborations with industry to align training with employers' needs.
