ABSTRACT: Innovations in Career Development Programs for Vocational Students explores new approaches to preparing students for successful careers through targeted career development initiatives. This study aimed to identify innovative practices that enhance vocational students' career readiness and employability. The objectives were: to assess the effectiveness of current career development programs in vocational institutions, to evaluate the impact of career counseling and mentorship on student career outcomes, and to propose strategies for improving and expanding career development opportunities. A survey design was chosen to gather detailed data from vocational students, alumni, and career counselors, providing insights into career development practices. A sample size of 250 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants with direct experience in career development programs were included. The case study focused on the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State. Findings indicated that effective career development programs significantly improved students' job placement rates, career satisfaction, and long-term career progression. It was recommended that vocational institutions should integrate comprehensive career development curricula, offer personalized counseling and mentorship programs, and strengthen partnerships with industry to provide practical insights and opportunities for students.
