ABSTRACT: The Role of Industry Partnerships in Enhancing Vocational Training Outcomes investigates the impact of collaborative partnerships between vocational institutions and industries on student skill development and employability. This study explores how industry engagement influences curriculum relevance, internship opportunities, and job placement for vocational graduates. The objectives were: to analyze the benefits and challenges of industry partnerships in vocational education, to evaluate the effectiveness of industry-driven curriculum development in meeting workforce demands, and to propose strategies for strengthening and expanding industry collaborations in vocational training. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from vocational educators, industry representatives, and alumni, providing insights into partnership dynamics and outcomes. A sample size of 250 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include stakeholders with direct involvement in industry partnerships and vocational education. The case study focused on the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State. Findings indicated that industry partnerships enhanced practical training, skills alignment with industry needs, and post-graduation employment rates among vocational students. It is recommended that vocational institutions should establish formal partnership agreements with industry leaders, involve employers in curriculum advisory boards, and create more internship and apprenticeship opportunities to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.
