ABSTRACT: The Impact of Policy Changes on Vocational Education Systems investigates how changes in educational policies influence the structure, delivery, and outcomes of vocational education. This study aimed to analyze the effects of policy shifts on vocational institutions, educators, and students. The objectives were: to assess the impact of recent policy changes on vocational curriculum development and implementation, to evaluate changes in funding and resource allocation for vocational programs, and to identify challenges and opportunities arising from policy reforms. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from policymakers, educators, and stakeholders involved in vocational education, ensuring a broad perspective on policy impacts. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants with direct involvement in policy implementation and education administration. The case study focused on the Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Findings indicated that policy changes significantly affected vocational education, with both positive outcomes such as improved curriculum alignment with industry needs and challenges including funding uncertainties. It was recommended that policymakers should engage stakeholders in policy development, ensure adequate resources for vocational programs, and provide continuous professional development for educators to effectively implement new policies.
