ABSTRACT: Strategies for Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in Technical Education are crucial for creating equitable learning environments and opportunities. This study explored effective strategies for enhancing diversity and inclusion within technical education programs. The objectives were: to assess the current state of diversity and inclusion in technical education, to evaluate the impact of inclusive practices on student outcomes, and to identify best practices for promoting diversity and inclusion. A survey design was chosen to collect detailed data from students, educators, and administrators, providing comprehensive insights into diversity and inclusion efforts. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants with relevant experience and perspectives were included. The case study focused on the Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos State. Findings indicated that while some diversity and inclusion initiatives were in place, there was a significant need for more comprehensive and effective strategies. It was recommended that technical education institutions should implement policies and practices that promote diversity and inclusion, provide training and support for staff and students, and regularly evaluate and update their initiatives to ensure they effectively meet the needs of all students.
