ABSTRACT: The Role of Microlearning in Enhancing Vocational Skill Acquisition has become a focal point as educators seek innovative methods to improve training outcomes. This study examined the effectiveness of microlearning in vocational training environments. The objectives were: to assess the current use of microlearning in vocational training, to evaluate the impact of microlearning on skill acquisition, and to identify best practices for implementing microlearning. A survey design was employed due to its ability to collect extensive data from a broad sample within a limited time, offering comprehensive insights. A sample size of 250 vocational training students and instructors was selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants had experience with microlearning. The case study was the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State. Findings indicated that microlearning significantly enhanced skill acquisition by breaking down complex skills into manageable, focused learning modules, increasing retention and application of skills. It was recommended that vocational training programs should integrate microlearning modules, provide training for instructors on microlearning techniques, and continuously update content to keep pace with industry changes.
