ABSTRACT: Strategies for Integrating Cultural Competency into Vocational Education are critical for preparing students to work in diverse environments. This study investigated effective strategies for embedding cultural competency into vocational training programs. The objectives were: to evaluate the current level of cultural competency in vocational education, to identify strategies that enhance cultural competency, and to assess the impact of these strategies on students' readiness for diverse workplaces. A survey design was chosen for its ability to capture a wide range of perspectives from a large sample size, providing a thorough understanding of the topic. A sample size of 250 vocational educators and students was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include individuals with varied cultural backgrounds. The case study focused on the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State. Findings showed that incorporating cultural competency through multicultural curriculum content, intercultural workshops, and inclusive classroom practices significantly enhanced students' readiness for diverse work environments. It was recommended that vocational education programs should integrate cultural competency training, encourage cross-cultural interactions, and provide resources for educators to effectively teach cultural competency.
