ABSTRACT: This study explores the impact of career academies on vocational school success, investigating their role in improving student outcomes, engagement, and career readiness in specialized vocational fields. Career academies are structured programs that integrate academic instruction with industry-focused curricula and work-based learning experiences. The objectives were to (1) assess the impact of career academies on vocational school graduation rates, employment outcomes, and post-secondary transitions, (2) examine factors contributing to the success of career academies in vocational education, and (3) propose strategies to enhance the effectiveness of career academies in preparing students for career success. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from students, educators, and employers, exploring their perceptions of career academy experiences and outcomes. The sample size comprised 180 participants, selected through purposive sampling to include stakeholders from career academies and partnering industries across Nigeria. The case study focused on Delta State, known for its innovative career academy models and strong industry collaborations. Findings indicated that career academies improved student engagement, skill acquisition, and job placement rates in vocational sectors. Effective practices included industry partnerships, hands-on training, and career-focused curricula. Recommendations included expanding career academy opportunities, integrating academic and technical skills development, and strengthening career guidance and counseling services to support students' long-term career pathways.
