ABSTRACT: This study investigates the effectiveness of online portfolios in showcasing vocational achievements, examining their role in enhancing students' visibility, career prospects, and professional development opportunities. The objectives were to (1) evaluate the impact of online portfolios on vocational students' self-presentation and career advancement, (2) assess the usability and accessibility of online platforms for showcasing vocational skills and achievements, and (3) propose strategies to optimize the use of online portfolios in vocational education. A survey research design was employed to collect data from vocational students, employers, and educators, gathering insights into their experiences with online portfolios and perceptions of their effectiveness. The sample size included 180 participants, selected through purposive sampling to include stakeholders from vocational institutions and industry sectors across Nigeria. The case study focused on Abuja, the federal capital territory, known for its diverse vocational training institutes and growing digital infrastructure. Findings revealed that online portfolios significantly enhanced students' ability to present their skills, projects, and achievements to potential employers, leading to improved career opportunities and professional networking. Effective features included multimedia integration, project showcases, and feedback mechanisms. Recommendations included providing training on portfolio development, integrating digital literacy into vocational curricula, and fostering partnerships with industry for real-world portfolio projects.
