ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of adaptive technologies in supporting vocational learners, focusing on their effectiveness in accommodating diverse learning styles and needs. The objectives were to (1) assess the current use and impact of adaptive technologies in vocational education, (2) analyze the benefits and challenges associated with their implementation, and (3) propose strategies to enhance the integration and effectiveness of adaptive technologies in vocational training. A survey design was employed to gather data from vocational instructors, students with diverse learning needs, and technology providers, offering insights into the practical applications and outcomes of adaptive technologies. The sample size included 230 participants, selected through purposive sampling to ensure a balanced representation of technology users and educators. The case study focused on Kaduna State, Nigeria, known for its proactive approach to vocational education and technological advancements. Findings indicated that adaptive technologies, such as personalized learning platforms and assistive devices, positively impacted students' engagement, learning outcomes, and overall educational experiences. Recommendations included investing in accessible technology infrastructure, providing training on adaptive technology use for educators, and conducting regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of adaptive technologies in meeting diverse learner needs.
