ABSTRACT: This study investigates innovations in career guidance and counseling for vocational students, aiming to enhance career decision-making and outcomes. The objectives were to (1) identify innovative approaches and tools used in vocational career counseling, (2) assess the effectiveness of these innovations in guiding students towards successful career paths, and (3) propose strategies to improve career guidance services in vocational settings. A survey design was utilized to gather data from vocational counselors, students, and employers, offering insights into current practices and their impact. The sample size included 200 participants, selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse vocational disciplines and career stages. The case study focused on Port Harcourt, Nigeria, known for its active vocational education and career development initiatives. Findings indicated that innovative career guidance tools such as online career assessments, mentorship programs, and experiential learning opportunities significantly improved students' career readiness and decision-making. Recommendations included integrating comprehensive career guidance modules into vocational curricula, expanding access to career counseling resources, and fostering partnerships with industries to provide real-world insights and opportunities.
