ABSTRACT: This study explores innovations in promoting sustainability practices within vocational sectors, aiming to enhance environmental stewardship among vocational students. The objectives were to (1) identify innovative methods for integrating sustainability into vocational training, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of these methods in improving students' understanding and application of sustainability practices, and (3) propose strategies to enhance the adoption of sustainability practices in vocational sectors. A survey design was employed to gather data from vocational educators, students, and industry partners, providing a comprehensive overview of current practices and potential improvements. The sample size included 250 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure a diverse representation of stakeholders. The case study was conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria, known for its robust vocational training programs. Findings indicated that while some innovative methods, such as project-based learning and sustainability workshops, were effective, there was a need for more consistent and widespread implementation. Recommendations included integrating sustainability modules into all vocational curricula, promoting partnerships with environmentally focused organizations, and providing continuous professional development for educators on sustainability topics.
