ABSTRACT: This study investigates strategies for promoting industry-relevant certifications in vocational programs to enhance employability and job readiness among graduates. The objectives were to (1) identify the key industry certifications that align with vocational training programs, (2) assess the awareness and perceptions of these certifications among students and educators, and (3) develop strategies to integrate and promote these certifications within vocational curricula. A survey design was employed to collect data from vocational students, educators, and industry professionals, providing a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape and challenges. The sample size comprised 250 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure a diverse representation of perspectives. The case study was conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria, a hub for various industries and vocational training centers. Findings indicated that while there was a general awareness of industry certifications, their integration into vocational programs was inconsistent. Effective strategies to promote certifications included partnerships with industry leaders, incorporating certification training into the curriculum, and providing financial and informational support to students. Recommendations included establishing formal collaborations between vocational institutions and industry certification bodies, offering certification preparation courses, and raising awareness of the benefits of industry-relevant certifications among students and educators.
