ABSTRACT: This study explores the role of vocational education in fostering economic resilience, highlighting the critical contribution of skilled labor to economic stability and growth. The objectives were to (1) examine the impact of vocational education on individual economic resilience, (2) assess the broader economic benefits of a well-trained vocational workforce, and (3) identify the challenges and opportunities in expanding vocational education programs. A survey design was used to gather data from vocational graduates, educators, and employers, providing a comprehensive analysis of vocational education's economic impact. The sample size comprised 180 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to include those with direct experience in vocational education and economic activities. The case study was conducted in Anambra State, Nigeria, known for its entrepreneurial spirit and economic dynamism. Findings indicated that vocational education significantly enhanced individuals' economic resilience by improving employability and income stability. Additionally, a skilled vocational workforce contributed to overall economic growth and diversification. Challenges such as inadequate funding and outdated curricula were noted. Recommendations included increasing investment in vocational education, updating curricula to align with industry needs, and fostering partnerships between educational institutions and businesses to support economic resilience.
