ABSTRACT: This research examines strategies for promoting career readiness among vocational students, emphasizing the need for effective preparatory practices to bridge the gap between education and employment. The objectives were to (1) identify key components of successful career readiness programs, (2) evaluate the current state of career readiness among vocational students, and (3) propose strategies to enhance career readiness in vocational education. A survey design was selected to collect data from students, educators, and industry professionals, ensuring a well-rounded perspective on career readiness practices. The sample size was 200 participants, chosen using a purposive sampling technique to include individuals with direct experience and insight into vocational training and career development. The case study focused on Ogun State, Nigeria, an area with a robust vocational training infrastructure. Findings revealed that comprehensive career readiness programs, including internships, mentorship, and career counseling, significantly improved students' preparedness for the workforce. Challenges such as inadequate industry collaboration and limited access to career resources were identified. Recommendations included strengthening partnerships between vocational institutions and industries, integrating career readiness modules into the curriculum, and providing continuous support and resources for students to enhance their employability.
