ABSTRACT: This study investigates the impact of cultural competence training on vocational educators, highlighting the significance of such training in enhancing educational outcomes in diverse settings. The objectives were to (1) assess the current level of cultural competence among vocational educators, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of cultural competence training programs, and (3) identify the challenges and benefits associated with implementing these training programs. A survey design was employed to gather data from vocational educators, providing a comprehensive analysis of their experiences and perceptions. The sample size consisted of 150 educators, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants had varying levels of exposure to cultural competence training. The case study was conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria, known for its cultural diversity and vibrant educational sector. Findings indicated that cultural competence training significantly improved educators' ability to manage diverse classrooms and fostered more inclusive learning environments. However, challenges such as limited access to training resources and resistance to change were noted. Recommendations included increasing investment in cultural competence training programs, developing comprehensive training materials, and fostering a supportive institutional culture to encourage continuous professional development.
