ABSTRACT: This research examines strategies for integrating sustainability practices into the vocational curriculum, addressing the urgent need to align vocational education with global sustainability goals. The objectives of this study were to (1) identify effective sustainability practices relevant to vocational training, (2) evaluate the current extent of sustainability integration in vocational curriculums, and (3) propose actionable strategies for enhancing this integration. A survey design was employed to gather data from educators, curriculum developers, and industry experts, allowing for a diverse range of perspectives. The sample size comprised 200 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to include individuals with substantial knowledge and experience in both vocational training and sustainability practices. The case study was conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria, an area known for its educational innovations and industrial activities. Findings indicated that while there is a growing awareness of sustainability, its integration into vocational curriculums remains limited and inconsistent. Effective strategies proposed included incorporating sustainability modules into existing courses, fostering industry partnerships to provide real-world sustainability projects, and continuous professional development for educators in sustainability education. Recommendations included policy reforms to mandate sustainability education in vocational training and the development of resource materials to support educators in implementing these practices.
