ABSTRACT: This study explores the role of Industry 4.0 technologies in transforming vocational training, emphasizing the technological advancements that are reshaping educational paradigms. The primary objectives were to (1) identify the specific Industry 4.0 technologies being integrated into vocational training programs, (2) assess the impact of these technologies on the quality of vocational education, and (3) determine the challenges and opportunities associated with their implementation. A survey design was chosen for this research to capture a broad range of insights from educators, trainees, and industry stakeholders, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of current practices and perceptions. A sample size of 150 participants was selected, utilizing a purposive sampling technique to ensure that individuals with direct experience and knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies were included. The case study focused on the vocational training programs in Ogun State, Nigeria, a region known for its burgeoning industrial sector. The findings revealed that Industry 4.0 technologies, such as automation, AI, and IoT, significantly enhanced the learning experience by providing more interactive and practical training opportunities. However, challenges such as high implementation costs and the need for continuous professional development for instructors were also noted. It was recommended that vocational training institutions should seek partnerships with technology firms to mitigate costs and provide continuous training for their staff to keep pace with technological advancements.
